The only campy mode on HC is TDM. This is simply not true. Hardcore is significantly slower and more campy than core precisely because of low health. The more you move, the more opportunity there is for you to die. The lower your health, the more opportunity there is for you to die. Do the math.

Overall, hardcore is an interesting experience and I recommend at least trying it.
